I had to write this review, even thought I bought these at retail for same price shown here.

We all read tons of optics reviews, but me, I felt I had to go in person to try these out, and the store is a cavernous well known retail outdoors superstore, with lots of game adorning the walls 100-150+ yards across thereby giving you a good way of seeing how good you can or cannot see game with some fake cover at hunting distances.

I tried these Swaro 8x30 CL, Zeiss Conquest HD, Nikon Monarch, Vortex Diamondback, and Bushnell Elite Ultra HD. All but Swaro were x42 objectives.
The Swaro and Zeiss were same price, the Nikon and Vortex about half the price of Swaro/Zeiss, and the Bushnell about 1/3rd the price of Swaro/Zeiss.

The bottom price models were totally fine. But once I looked thru the Swaros, my eyes could see so easily, the eye relief and diopter settings so perfectly comfy.
I didn't want to spend around $1K out the door, but it was to no avail... the Zeiss really did not come close and it was an 8x42 as were all the other models.
The Swaro felt brighter even though it was a 30mm objective vs the Zeiss at 42mm. The way I would characterize the Swaro's is that your eyes look them with no effort.
WIth ALL the other choices listed above, I felt like my eyes were still squinting to bring the detail in the final image that I knew was there. Yes I did make sure to optimize the diopter settings for each bino to make sure I was giving each a fair shot.
